    Fell off the wagon months ago

    they are right, it is never too late. I am 1 yr out and have lost 100 pounds.. I have not lost anything in 3-4 months.... I still have 20 pounds to get to goal but I got in a rut of being complacent. I have started exercising more and changing habits again... I have a hard road ahead of me and I know I took advantage of all those pounds that melted so easily... we both can do it, we just need to g et the will power back
  2. Ok DISCLAIMER!!! ( please read first) This post will consist of peoples Favorite foods That they have gave up or CANT WAIT to have in the future.. IF you can not emotionally handle looking out YUMMY food right now in your recovery please refrain from going any further in this thread. I myself Love to look at YUMMY food and find myself Watching all the food shows now.. and LOVE IT even if I cant have it YET or will ever go back to it if it is really bad for me.... SO dont say I didnt WARN YOU FIRST!!!!!!!!!!! QUESTION- WHAT IS YOUR FAV food that you cant wait to try again and also for those that are in maintenince stage... CAN we ever eat these again of course in moderation? See next post for mine!

    Haha hey giys, Glad its still going. Im now 7 months out from surgery and can officially eat anything I posted above^... although I make better choices and the quantities are very limited BUT I can if I so desire. PHEW that was my fear because I wasnt sure I could get past saying goodbye to theater popcorn for good..:-)

    AT about 3 months My surgeons aid he didnt limit anything I ate... If It didnt feel good then Id know..lol Im 5 months out and steak is the one thing that feels the BEST.... Ive been eating it for awhile not.. when my family goes to a buffet ( 2 times or so amonth) I just get a steak, mandarin oranges and cottage cheese. My fav

    Well i do drink soda ( mainly diet). I cant drink it with food because when I burp the food comes with it.. Ill sip one .. usually cant finish it like I used too.. Still have lots a restriction.. and losing well. I dont get addicited to things though so if its a gateway "drug" then I would not suggest it..
  6. I just hit 5 months. YOU just gotta do it. I remember feeling depressed sometimes thinking im never going to eat normal foods again... BUt after 2 months I was eating NORMAL food. My DR had a different plan then others though. At about 6-8 weeks he didn't really limit me at all. He just said if it doesn't feel good to eat it then don't...lol HE said I will know my own body. I LOVED that cause looking at the stupid lists made me sad and now I had the ability to eat what I want ( which isn't good if you don't have self control eating bad things).... BUT it gets better you just have to deal with it and realize that this too shall pass.. :-)

  9. Who is only 10 pounds or less from hitting ONEDERLAND?! Lets rally together!!! Im 4-5 pounds away and would love some others to rally with. Just post on this thread and try to do it daily. Maybe post what you ate and if you excercised. Lets stay focused and whoop OBESITY in the BUTT!!!!
  10. Honestly im 4 months in and I had to MOURN the loss of my food addiction. It was hard. I enjoy sitting and eating large amounts with my friends and family. Now food means something different, It was frustrating at first but you get over it. My new addicition is dresses and shoes..lol
  11. Everyone is doing great!!! I was at 202 for almost 2 week!! ugg it was frustrating but I just stayed strong and kept focus.. didn't let it get to me and didnt really deviate from my normal regimen. I figured I cant stress and Ill let my body decided when its ready..!!

  13. YES I have this all the time since i had surgery. I have small kids so cleaning the floors and picking things up is hard cause I bend donw and get up and almost fall over. Sometimes it does get worse with dehydration but that is not the only reason.. What she said above about the Posterial Hypotension is exactlly what it is.. if you google it you can find more info about.

  18. Awesome girl! You can do it! Whats your plans for exercising? I have been through huge numerous stalls lately then I lose a ton fast and then stall out...lol its a cycle for me..lol Today my hubby brought home chicken. I ate 2 bites of the mashed potatoes, one bit of chicken, and im working on a Water bottle. Thats all i have ate today and since it was fattening i will need to watch what I eat the rest of the day. I have a small steak ill eat for dinner and thats probably it.. Ive been staying full alot longer if I eat straight meat... luckily I lOVE MEAT!! lol
  19. Hi, All Its been 3 months now and the time is zooming by. I have been eating normal food no for sometime. Basically I do not eat bread products as it fills me up tooo fast and leaves me feeling BLAH.. I will have an slice of pizza somtimes but do not eat the crust. meat is my best friend. It feels the best going down ( especially beef, like steak )... If I had a choice on what to eat every meal I would grab the meat first!!!... I can eat fresh veggies and stuff but if it doesnt chew down to a mushy consistancy then i dont eat very much of it at all. I do have an occasional soda once in awhile but never with food because the bubbles come out to burp but food gets caught above it and I almost throw up everytime i try to burp...lol ewwww. Anyhoo, I have lost 65 pounds so far and feeling pretty good! I have days were i still feel FAT but its a mind thing and I know I have a long ways to go but I always remind myself where i came from as well.

OMG not only are you a sleeve sister but we share the same passion. I am a photographer too and dabble in graphic design..lol maybe you can teach me a thing or two..lol

    I just realized we were sleeved by the same DR.'S!!! I was sleeved by Dr. Seger but Dr. Duperior wasnt far behind..lol YEah for a sister sleever!!! And congrats on the milestone I bet it feels great!!

    golden corral and coyote canyon give me the senior discount everytime. other then that I never order food i eat off others plates and call it a day..lol I dont mind watching others eat cause im usually full already anyways so its not different if i was full then too.. kwim!
  25. 2 months out- how are you feeling, what has been your weight loss and what are you eating? I just hit 2 months. I lost 38 pounds the first month and 14 my 2nd month. I feel great no hair loss yet but I did go through a pretty long stall like 2-3 weeks. nothing bad. I eat everything really. im not on a special diet anymore I eat what everyone else eats but just a bite of two if that. I dont allow my self to eat bread or tortillas ( unless its in chip form) or Pasta.. these items just dont allow me to enjoy a meal at all. Also I find that i dont eat anything until 1 or 2 pm now a days. Im just not hungry until then although I should try... how about you?
