Wow I had my first Dr's appointment a month ago...and I will have the procedure in 2 weeks. I am kind of scared; however, I have a lot of faith in my Doctor.

I read so many "stories" that scare me...I have weighed the side affects of obesity to those of the procedure and really I do not feel I have much of a choice. Most of the successful people have really followed the rules and advice from their Dr's faithfully .

I will be banded on Aug. 8 as well. We should be buddies. At first, I was a bit scared. Now, it seems unreal. Good luck! :confused:

I had made up my mind to pursue lap band surgery June 1st. I hadn't even gone to a seminar at that point. And now I am having my surgery August 1st. I too am scared sh**less. But I'm more scared of bieng a fatty/diabetic/blind/losing limbs. We are all making the right decision. Best of luck to you. :nervous
