I'm from Moore and had Dr Le do my sleeve on the 23rd at Integris!!!

I grew up in Moore! I live in Yukon now but still have family there. Looks like I will be getting sleeved by Dr. Le in January.

Hey all! I'm currently living in Norman (go to OU) and having my surgery on Nov 26th with Dr. Katsis (through Dr. Kirk's office at Bailey medical in Owasso). I'm curious about possible support groups in the Norman area for post-surgery sleevers? I feel like I won't have a lot of people around campus to talk to about my experiences.

Don't know if that link will work correctly but anyone can go to their support groups the info is easy enough to find from their website

I go to my first at Norman Regional on December 5th but The next is November 21. They are every other Thursday.

I am in OKC and will be sleeved in Jan or Feb. my dr is Hamilton Le. And I go to Integris I have almost finished my requirements. I have a sleep study tomorrow night. Any one else out there. I sure would like to have a sleeve buddy.

Joysdelights we can be sleeve buddies! ). I am hoping for a January surgery with Dr. Le. I have finished all the requirements and am waiting to be submitted to insurance. Good luck with your sleep study. I didn't particularly enjoy it but the staff was really nice.

Hey all... I just moved to okc and need a Dr to follow up with. I had wls March 28th and have been super successful, but I would like to find a local doc to check in with every once in a while. I have tricare, so a doc that accepts it would be helpful

Thanks Lucky. I would be happy to be your buddy. Sorry it took so long to reply. My sleep study was good. Got me a CPAP! I don't much like it. My last meet with Dr Le is January 2nd. Hope to get things moving then. Have you got a surgery date yet? I am worried about the preop diet. I can't lose any weight. My BMI is only 35.8 right now and I am afraid I might not be approved.

I live in Oklahoma the south side of the city. Dr. Keith did my surgery on Oct 28.

Joy my surgery date is January 8, and I am getting very nervous about the preop diet too. I go on Monday for a 3 hour appointment that includes the final nutrition class and an appointment with dr Le to talk about meds and such. I am nervous because they tell you not to gain more than 10 lbs. I haven't gained that much but I have gained a little. I am just disappointed that I haven't lost any.

What does your coordinator think about your approval? I was under the impression that they would be fairly confident you would get approved since they don't have a self pay option. My BMI is just over 40 so my insurance approved me even though I only have one if their "serious" comorbidities.
