Do You Order From The Kids Menu?

My family usually goes out to eat over the weekend or on Friday nights. I am only 4 weeks out, so I haven't really had to do this yet but unless I plan on bringing home a ton of leftovers, I was thinking I would order off the kids menu. anyone else do this? Are the restaurants usually ok with that? Do you tell them that you just had surgery and can't eat a lot? I know soup would also be a good option, but kids menu usually has grilled chicken.....

I agree that the kids menu options are usually not healthy choices. I tend to order from the appetizer menu and even then I find I bring home leftovers. If we are going out and taking the grandkids, which is usually the case, I order a regular meal, split it with my 4 year old granddaughter and then bring the leftovers home for lunch the next day.
