Sleepy After Eating

I am 10 months post op and am down 85 lbs with a maximum of 30 more to go.

I want to find out if anyone else gets EXTREMLY exhausted, almost instantly, after eating. Half of the time I am at the dinner table ready to zonk out and have to get up to get moving. Any idea as to why this is?

    Oh my gosh, YES! And most times it is after lunch. Many times I have to go lay down. Sometimes I'll fall asleep, sometimes just closing my eyes for a while helps. But, this happened to me before surgery as well. So for me, it isn't a product of the surgery.

    Today it was so bad, I broke down and had a cup of coffee. i know I'm not suppose to have it. But I did.

    I wish I knew why it happens. Cause I hate it!

    Yes I feel the same way after eating. Sometimes immediately after eating my heart rate speeds up. And then I get sleepy.

    Although I am only 1 week post op- I have the same thing- I will be yawning like crazy @ the table then konk out for 15 min or so when done- sitting up in my lazy boy of course....
