Cough Medicine & PAINNNNN

So i have a cold...about 3am this morning i took some cough medicine and OMG it felt like it was burning a hole in my stomach i was almost in tears. And then it passed.

Lemme preface this by saying i had been belching a lot last night...IDK if that contributed to it.

But has anyone had similar issues with cold/cough syrup

I haven't ventured into "adult" cough medicine yet. I've been making due with children's liquid advil and children's cough medicines. They don't hurt going down and do just fine. I'm not even sure when/if we can get back to regular pills like advil or even liquid caps?
