Possible hernia

The day after I got home from the hospital I went to the bathroom thinking I was going to throw up. At the second dry heave I felt like something tore at my waistline. That was on Sept 2nd, and I still have pain there. My MD first said I probably tore a stitch, then after the first month he says that I must have pulled the stitch all the way through the muscle. The pain is not right at one of the incisions. It is close to my bellybutton and right at my waist. I hurts to ride with anything on except my scrub pants and I cannot do situps, plus just bending over for any length of time makes it hurt. Has anyone else had a problem like this? My MD kind of blew it off, but it doesn't seem to be getting better.
