Yes, go for it. Just take a few little spoonfuls to see how your new tummy likes it. If you don't get a clogged reaction, then you've just added a new food.

I want to sprinkle some cheese into my soup. I am 10 days post op.

I think it is okay to add...but would add it to a soup you already know agrees with you. That way if it doesn't go so well, you will know it is the cheese. Cheese is one of the foods that took me a little longer to eat...cheese and eggs.

I added cheese to my soup and on thursday I will be 14 days post-op. So it went ok with me just little sips and little steps.
