New Beginings

I've never visited a forum like this before and have never done anything like this before. :)

I have been obese my whole life and have always wanted to have some sort of bariatric surgery. I began the whole process in October of 2010 and weighed 504 lbs. at my first appointment. I had the vertical sleeve surgery on February 3rd, 2011 and I have lost 152 lbs. since.

Thanks. Things have been going really well. Getting over the mental cravings for certain foods was the hardest part. But for me, since the surgery my tastes have totally changed. Things I used to eat

Thanks. Things have been going really well. Getting over the mental cravings for certain foods was the hardest part. But for me, since the surgery my tastes have totally changed. Things I used to eat before that were really bad for me don't look good anymore. I really think this has saved my life.

:DCongrats to you for such wonderful progress, John!! I am 4 weeks postop, and looking forward to reaching my goal and maintaining it. Yes, my taste has changed alot. Foods taste sweeter that I don't really like anymore. Ronda
