Holy cow...this stuff is nasty

Sooooooo....anyone in Canada know of a decent tasting ready made Protein shake that is low carb? I looked online at the Slimfast optima and they have 20g Carbs..yikes!!

I'm trying to choke back the stuff I have and who knew that eating liquid chalk could result in a 3lb loss in 3 days and it's my time of the month!

I was just wondering if anyone lucked into finding a ready made that isn't nasty. Thanks all.

Have you tried the Atkins or Isopure or something like that. I love the slim fast chocolate and now they have a high protein one, not the optima but a new one.

I LOVE Isopure. It is 40g of protein and NO CARBS!!! and it tastes like jello. Its FAB! I know you can buy it online if you can't find a good place to get it near you.

The Atkins Advantage is low carb, low sugar and 18 grams of protein and fairly reasonable in price. If you like chock. its great:)

I really like EAS Advant Edge Carb Control shakes. 100 calories, 15g of protein and 1 carb! The strawberry cream are my fave!

I love Advant Edge too- shakes AND bars -- great protein --- not sure if they are available online or in Canada though..............

Mysherrijo and salljo -I did look for the Atkins at the Superstore and didn't see it and I've never seen Isopure anywhere...where did you buy yours?

Funny: any particular flavor that you prefer over the others?

Drewslou and Moorless: Where did you buy the advant?

Yoda: The only reason I was going to try ready made was because both of the ones I bought were sooooo chalky and I thought the cans would be smoother going down. I really didn't want the pre op to be a 300.00 experience on it's own but geeez...I may have to actually waste 3/4 of a can of two different kinds. DH even tried to get creative and add a crystal light package to the vanilla....Hola...God love him...but that was a definite no.

Anyways I shall go on a hunt for something else to try....thanks all for the suggestions.

I did the ready to drink (RTD) 90 calorie, 10 grams of protein shakes from Medifast and still have some in the house for fill days. You get them online.

A word of caution about the Isopure. (It can be found at GNC, by the way), Although the FLAVORS were O.K., they always seemed to leave a funny film in my mouth kind of like it was sucking all the liquid out of my mucous membranes. It was weird and it made me not want to drink it unless I ABSOLUTELY had to.

If I had to have a ready made Protein drink, the Boost drinks are O.K. in a pinch. Both the regular Boost (not plus, which is yucky) and the Boost breeze (fruity) are tasty and come in several flavors.

I also liked the SF Carnation Instant Breakfast drinks. They were probably the most tasty to me even though they may not have had quite as much protein as Boost.

Hey you...

I just tried the atkins chocolate royale with only 2 carbs...ready made just pop open the can and blend with ice or drink cold...much better than the powder I have been using!!! We are just about done 3 days though friend!!!! We are doing great...See you in 11 days honey!!!!!

Myoplex by EAS has 42 grams of protein and tastes good. It has 23 grams of carbs but that's not bad considering the 42 grams of protein. You can get them at Walmarts and GNC. The website has free shipping on orders over $75.

EAS "Advant Edge" - I bought it at Walgreens and Wal-Mart (here in the states)....maybe they have it online somewhere? The shakes comes in a disposable (soft) container - you have to pour into another glass....the bars come 4 to a package -- Chocolate Chip Brownie is "ok" but very dense and chewy, I prefer the Peanut Butter Crips or something like that - twice the size as the brownie one and much tastier (not so dense).
