Color makes the hair thicker. Unless you're bleaching it, which would probably make hair loss even greater. So that's not recommended. If you cut it, I would do layers. This makes your seem fuller and thicker. So, go for it. [:

Cutting your hair actually makes it healthier! Talk to your stylist. They can look at your hair and decide if your hair is healthy enough for it.

I am planning to get highlights in about a month, just in time for summer! I have very healthy hair and lots of it. So any hair loss won't be noticed. Besides, it makes us all feel good to do these things for ourselves!

My stylist recommended against any bleaching or perming, but I coloured mine all the way through, had hair loss and now at almost 9 months out have tufty growth of about 1.5inches which is fab!!! So looking much thicker now.

If you're going to do it, I think now would be a better time than LATER. Only because as it thins , I'd be afraid you'd get more dye on your scalp.

I dyed mine without any trouble.
