Ok now I'm nervous!!!

I finally got my surgery date!!! I met with the surgeon today and we set the date for March 16th!!! I've researched the sleeve for months and not nervous at all- knowing it was what was best for me. Now however, after setting the date and listening to all the possible complications (all of which I already knew but now it is real) I'm nervous and excited at the same time!!

Way to go sunnyd! I am so happy for you. We are definately surgery buddies now because my surgery is the 15th, just the day before. I wasn't nervous when I got my date, just really excited. I am however nervous now after attending patient education on Friday and receiving a binder full of info on the post-op diet and exercise regimen expected of me. It is a seriously strict diet. I know it will not be hard to do given my new tool, but thinking about it makes me nervous thinking can I do this? My surgeon does not allow any carbs through 6 months out. None...the only carbs you get is from the fruit you are allowed to eat and possible a few hear and there in a low carb protein drink. Have you received your nutrition info yet? Also, on day 3 post-op my surgeon expects you to walk 20 mins, 3 times a day and start doing resistance and stretching exercises which they provide you with photos of. Every surgeon is different but it is super important to follow what your surgeon requests you do post-op. Keep me updated on your progress and once again congratulations on this very important step in your life.
