Make sure you bring slippers and chap-stick to the hospital .... especially the chap-stick!

Heating pad is good, but I didn't use one to much.

Comfy clothes, blender, CHECK!....heating pad or ice pack?

What is your recommended list of items to buy before surgery?

Honestly, I dont think you need either. The only pain I experienced was from gas, and the only thing that helps that is walking :)

I think you should add to your list basic toiletries like a mini shower gel and lotion, those made a huge difference for me after not being able to shower after 2 days. Also, I brought some knitting, my laptop for movies/wifi and a book. BUT I was in from Monday morning to Thursday so I definitely needed entertainment. Im not sure how long your stay will be.

Chicken broth, teas, protein supplements like Isopure, unjury. People say Popsicles but I didn't like cold things afterwards. Warm socks for the hospital. My feet were freezing. I loved still do my sugar free cough drops. Good luck

Got it, THANKS A MILLION!

You're quite welcome. All the best!!! You'll do fantastic! :)

Gas-X Strips

Yes, Gasx strips are my new best friend! Occasionally at 8 weeks out I still need them.

Before surgery I wish I had tried lots of different protein shakes to find ones I like, because I have sure found a lot I can't stand, so many are so sweet they make me gag. I didn't need a heating pad. Fuzzy warm socks and my snuggie have been great too!
