Waking up THIRSTY!

4 weeks post op:

Does anyone else wake up constantly in the middle of the night, extremely thirsty? I've been having to keep water beside my bed and it feels like I get up every 30 minutes to an hour SO thirsty. I am drinking so much water during the day, so I don't think it would be dehydration? It's so annoying! I just want a good nights sleep!! Does anyone else have this problem?

Me too, at least I sleep the night through now. I have cotton mouth when I wake, this despite the fact that I sleep with a CPAP that has a heated humidifier cranked up way past where I used to have it pre-sleeve.

Dunno what's going on. The weather here has been exceptionally cold and dry though so that plays a factor I'm sure.

I too am thirsty. I find it difficult to drink enough water although I mostly drink Medifast shakes which are about 80% water.. Dark yellow urine is a sign of not drinking enough water. At 5 weeks postop, I still have a lot to learn and that is why this forum is so helpful to me. My old habits haven't gone away just because I had surgery!
