I would water it down. One of the things they told us in the preop class I went to was that alcohol is absorbed much quicker, so a 1/2 glass is like a couple of glasses previously as far as affect.

Be so so careful!! I am such a light weight! I was piling sick from 1 1/2 drinks that I drank over a few HOURS!! And I was three or four months out.

Oh boy is it ever fast! I had a vodka and cranberry juice the other night and the buzz stayed with me all night, one drink! After the buzz I got GROUCHY!

My guess is Blood sugar spike and drop?

I had a glass of wine and it was fine on my tummy but heavy on the head. So just sip slowly and make sure you have eaten prior.

Of course...I would confirm with your nutritionist.

Happy Birthday!!!

I'm 6 weeks out and it's my birthday party do u think 1/2 glass of wine will hurt me?

I was told not to drink alcohol until i was at least 3 months out. . .you being out only at 6 weeks I can't answer that question for you, you must make that decision. . however you could have juice resembling the same color as wine in a wine glass and make the best of it. . . just a thought. . . happy birthday to you though!!!
