Concerned...

I am 12 days post-op. The last 2 days my right side of my stomach has been hurting and it feels swollen. Now I have gained 3 lbs. Could something be wrong?

I would call your surgeon's office and just ask. Have you had a BM? Are you still on liquids, are you drinking enough? Obviously, not an expert here but if I had any concerns I would call my surgeon right away. No point worrying about nothing and no point waiting if it is something!

Call your surgeon. Have you lifted anything, or twisted weird, is the pain by an incision? Do you have a fever?

The weight gain could be Water weight so don't fret over that aspect.

I havent lifted anything heavy but I had to bend the other day cause I dropped something on the ground and here wasn't anyone around to help me. No,not near an incision. No fever. It seems to bother me more when I lay on my side or hit bump whie riding.

It could be bruising or possibly BM issues but as stated above just call the doc to see if he/she is concerned and let them decide what the situation is!

I had a lot of gravity pain because my belly was bloated, and bruised. I carried the majority of my weight in my abdomen and couldn't sleep on my side for a long time. It's take longer for our "insides" to heal than it does our outsides, and it could be gravity pain or you might have pulled something when you bent over. I would still call your doctor, and see what they suggest.
