Swollen abdomen

Just wondering if it is normal for your stomach to be swollen 5 days postop. My pants are tighter on my stomach than they were before

(oh no).

Hello,

I am 4 days post-op and still swollen. My pants are tight too. I had to use a seatbelt extender on the flights home. Didn't need one pre-opt. It's to be expected though.

You'll be swollen for several weeks so don't worry... it's definitely not weight gain. Focus on healing.

Between all the gas they pump in you and the iv fluids, you are bound to be bloated and gain weight. I know I weighed 4 pounds more when I left the hospital than when I went in.
