Clear Fluids?

Hi Everyone,

Ok, for clear fluids we have Water, apple juice and chicken broth. Tea?

I am stumped for other ideas. Anyone use anything else for clear fluids?

Oh, just looked at my G2 and it is clear.

What do you drink for clear fluids?

Thanks for the ideas!

I was actually told no to the popsicles and the Jello (I hate jello anyway!).

I'm not a tea drinker anyway.

Is bottled Isopure clear liquid? I can see through it in the bottle. I was hoping to make jello with it.

Yeppers it's considered a clear Fluid. It's killing 2 birds with 1 stone if you can tolerate the taste because you get in your fluids plus Protein.

Tiffy, I did a trial run with the Isopure and put it into Jello to see if I could tolerate it. Not too bad. If I eat it slowly all day, I'll have 40 protein. I used 1 bottle of Isopure, two cups of hot water (cooled to 130) and it worked just fine.

That sucks about no popsicles, I don't think I could of made it through the clears without them. . . I hated Jello pre-op, but it gave me something with some degree of consistency during the clears I was on for 17 days.

Good deal, I know some people froze the jello laced with Isopure in ice trays to make them more tolerable. I'm glad you're finding things that work for you.

Don't forget popsicles (sugar free of course) and sugar free Jello, gatoraid (low sodium) . . . good luck!

Every doctor is so different. For me it will be clear for four days, moving to full liquids on day five. I'm still going to go very very slowly as I learn what works for me.

I will be able to have SF popsicles post-op, just not pre-op.

No idea why!
