Help! Stomach ache

OK, I have had a stomach ache for 4 days. I have been thinking it was gas but this is ridiculous. It now hurts when I swallow...not my throat but when it gets to my stomach. I have taken sooo many antiacids. I burp like crazy but I can not get the relief I need. Anybody got any help for me?

I would definitely call your surgeon. 4 days is too long to be hurting like that.

have you tried going back to some more basic foods....mushies at all? Sometimes you just need to give it a little rest.

Are you taking your ppi 30 minutes before you eat? If not the acid production is goind to be too much.

I am back on liquids w just a little food in it, Like chicken noodle soup. A few secs after I swallow, I get a pretty sharp pain. It hurts under my l ribs and behind my belly button. I wonder if something is having a spasm. Thank goodness I have a dr appt tomorrow w my surgeon. What kind of ppi are you all taking? I was sure hoping this would be cleared up by now because I am really feeling weak!

I'm on Prilosec 20mg once daily. I take it first thing in the morning, and the directions state to take 1 hour before eating anything, or taking it 3 hours after eating. I prefer taking it before I eat anything.

I hope you get some relief Deb. If you had a hernia repair along with the sleeve, you could definitely be having spasms. I know VegasAngel had a hiatal hernia repair and she had a lot of spasms post-op.

Let us know how your appointment goes tomorrow.
