Speak now PLEASE

Ok girls...TUESDAY I'm going under the knife. If you have any last minute

instructions...please let me know.

I know I'll need a pillow, loose fitting closes, a robe & slippers.

I'll have to sip sip sip, rest, and walk walk walk. Sleep in my recliner

for a week or so, to keep the gas at bay.

I have all the right foods in the house ( I think). SF pudding and jello, protein powder, string cheese, refried beans, deviled ham and chicken spread. Tuna. Baby food fruits, veggies, and meat, pureed soups, crystal light, sugar free popcycles, naked fruit juices, & avocados.

I have Centrum Chewables, Calcium Citrate Chewables & B 12 sub.

Is there anything I"m leaving out?

Remember the pain on the day of surgery will be bad. I had a terrible burning sensation in my stomcach. Just remember each day gets drastically better than the last. Sounds like you are ready. Good luck!

Haha, no - simply sleep is what is in Tylenol PM but minus the Tylenol. It is not an all natural thing. I am a born insomniac but usually rely on different methods to put myself to sleep. I am hungry now though and it is so distracting that I am having a tougher time sleeping.

What I usually do - no bright lights, tv, or computer 1 hour before bed. I read myself down to sleep and can usually drift off fine. It just isn't working this week.

Good luck! IT isnt all that bad. To be honest, I am finding the hungry part now worse than any part during post-op! To deal with that...maybe a 24 hour massage therapist, personal hypnotist, male strippers...

newmom - try some liquid benadryl for a few nights -- I've never had insomnia, but I did after surgery -- the liquid benadryl really worked wonders -- I took it for 3 days only and after that was able to sleep on my own.

I'll be more than happy to attempt to answer your questions via the Private messaging feature on this site. I checked out your email exchange, and it's for a social networking/meet-up site and I don't feel comfortable emailing through that venue.

You can Private message me here by clicking on my username by the picture, and click Send Private Message.
