Wth did i do this for?

Yes I am having major regrets of being banded. I am out 3 weeks. Have been on soft foods for a week and now am having terrible pain issues. After I eat it feels like a pipe going thru my chest. Called dr, did liquids 24 hours, progress back to soft and it started again. I am not living the rest of my life on liquids. This may come out faster than it went in.

Ok no one is questioning your intelligence. Bottom line is, the bands do not come pre filed. Period. Surgeons usually do put in a primer fill during surgery and do not consider it an actual fill. But

3cc doesn't come in it, they had to put it in it. It's very possible that you may need that 3cc removed because it's too much with the swelling from surgery. If I were you, I'd call your doctor and

You are right. Why someone can't ask a question and answer comments without drama is beyond me. But there is one person on here who no matter what the post is.... She starts crap with someone.

Had barium swallow (yum yum yum)

Everything is fine. He thinks its coffee and eggs my stomach can't tolerate.

I'm not even going to mention our discussion on "fill volume of band"

I hate to admit it, but I have noticed this too in regards to the one person. smh

i had some of the same problems. i had to be rush back to the hospital the same day i had surgery. The ER doctor remove the primer and told me to take phazyme sofe gel and not gas x. He does not recommend gas x for the lap band surgery...i did just what the ER doctor said and all the pain went away

I'd like to say it gets easier, but it's surgery and the band is a pain in the ass. You may get used to it and you may not. If you want it out then get it out. I'm not going to sugar coat it for you. You gotta do what's right for you.

You are an idiot. Let's see how many 'likes' this post can get. :D

Looks like none so far but thank you for the compliment. :-)

Runt glad your doing better with your band. Don't give up the beginning is a really big adjustment and food intolerance that you may never have had before can be part of it.

For me it was/is Broccoli. I love it, but it no longer loves me. Hurts my belly something awful cramps and bloating and such. So I only eat sparingly if it's mixed in and I don't want to seem too rude picking it out.

The gas and bloating I think is what's kicking my butt! They think that is what they chest/back/shoulder pain is.... Well I'm done with that crap..... It can just go away!

I hear ya! Try heating pad and some decaf tea. There is something in the tea that really helps move that gas :)

Decaf.... Hot or cold?

Hot tea...let cool till warm Steer clear of dairy if you can help it that contributes to the bloating and gas. Sometimes early band patients have issues with lactose. I did.

Taking a probiotic helped me, you can also try lactase if you find that you have an issue with dairy.

Hope your feeling better fast!

Doing much better.. Started taking beano, couldn't find phazyme... Has helped so much... Also have some isopure to help with dehydration and inc protein.

Feeling human.
