Day 2 Post Op: Shoulder Pain Help

I think it's from the gas or whatever but is there a way to get rid of it faster? It hurts so bad, ice packs help for a while but it comes back worse than before

Yes it's gas and yes it hurts like heck! What worked for me is a heating pad, walking around flapping my arms like a chicken to help release gas, and TIME. Mine was gone after about a week. Also, it can come back after you've healed when you overeat. Definitely a good reason to NOT overeat. Best of luck!

Yes, the shoulder pain was the worst part of the surgery, I used a heating pad and hot showers and walked also. Use your pain meds if you need them. I liked sleeping in a recliner too. By day 4 post op, my pain was gone. I was back to normal. But healing times vary person to person. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Pain in shoulders had gone down significantly, now I feel the gas in my stomach :-( how do I get it out!!

Get yourself a dog......they love to be walked.

Seriously, walk. Rest a little. Walk some more, rest a bit more. Walk again.

I found that the walking really helped. And as a side benefit....the dog was really happy to get all those walks.
