Tomorrow's the big day...

  • Popular Post

After lurking for about a month, i finally decided to post something. I'm going in tomorrow at 9:30 in the morning to finally get banded. I am a 40 year old single dad to two of the best daughters ever (of course I may be a little biased). I've struggled with my weight for most of my adult life and finally decided that it was time to take control of my life and be comfortable in my own skin again. I'm going into surgery at 5'11" and 321 lbs. with a bmi of 40. I'm not so much nervous as I'm anxious and ready to be healthy. I also wanted to thank everyone here for all the support and kindness that I've seen. Just reading the threads has really helped me to alleviate some of my concerns and answer a lot of questions. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better as I start my journey.

I was also banded May 6th but have only lost 23 lbs. I can't belive how much weight you have lost... I thought I would have lost a whole lot more by now...can you please tell me what your daily diet consists of? I started at 218 and I am now 196. Any advice would help...PS I have 6.2ccs in a 10cc band.

Sending good thoughts your way for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery! :)
