Thanks everyone for everything! I'm excited to get this started. I'll be sure to let you all know how things went as soon as I can.

After lurking for about a month, i finally decided to post something. I'm going in tomorrow at 9:30 in the morning to finally get banded. I am a 40 year old single dad to two of the best daughters ever (of course I may be a little biased). I've struggled with my weight for most of my adult life and finally decided that it was time to take control of my life and be comfortable in my own skin again. I'm going into surgery at 5'11" and 321 lbs. with a bmi of 40. I'm not so much nervous as I'm anxious and ready to be healthy. I also wanted to thank everyone here for all the support and kindness that I've seen. Just reading the threads has really helped me to alleviate some of my concerns and answer a lot of questions. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better as I start my journey.

I'm new here too. I'm scheduled for my surgery on 8/13. I'm excited to start my new life. I'll be on these forums quite a bit, so I'm looking forward to getting to know some people that will understand what I'll be getting ready to go through. Best of luck to you all!
