Can I eat clam chowder? Or Black eyed peas? I'm hungry but then I'm not hungry. I can't feel any restriction ! At all... Counting down for this fill !

I know it's hard but stick to your doctor's post op diet. It's so important so you can heal properly. Just remember, this is temporary. Soon you'll be back on real food and on your way to a health

I highly doubt those things are on your post op diet after only 2 weeks.

What phase are you on? What are your doctor's instructions?

How long do we stay with Protein shakes until soft foods?? It's been 11 days since surgery?? What r u eating besides protein??

I made a low fat potato soup, split pea. There are some great recipes online that ill try this weekend.

I am just starting my post-op week 2. My instructions say that I can include to my clear liquids more creamier soups, puréed foods. Tonight I puréed some green beans. It took a little bit to get past the looks and texture...but at this point I will try just about anything new.

Jello, apple sauce, and things like that are what you should be eating. Keep drinking those protein shakes.

I know all of our care varies, but if you are looking for something as a reference, fashionstylist- I could scan the booklet I got my from nutritionist for you. Maybe you could show your doc and make sure they are cool with it? I got something really comprehensive.

Aviva: I would be very interested in the booklet you got.

Ok I will scan it tomorrow and see if I can figure out how to attach it as a .pdf

My phase 2 go's like this; Pureed foods, Baby food consistency foods - nothing you need to chew. Eat protein first, pureed chicken, scrambled eggs , mash low fat cottage cheese, smooth low cal yogurt, or low cal pudding. Then move onto mild pureed veggies such as carrots, green beans (avoid gassy veggies) Start taking chewable multi vitamin and calcium supplement. Eat 3 to 4 meals per day.Stop eating at first sign of fullness. Do not over eat. Do no not eat and drink together. No fluids half an hour prior to meals, with meals and 1 hour after meals to allow fullness and proper digestion. Continue Phase 2 for ___.
