Feeling hungry

I've seen a lot of comments of people feeling hungry post surgery. When does this typically kick in for most of you? I am day 3 post and haven't felt it yet. I know from the pre-op it was day 2-4 that was bad but I passed over it. Who knows, maybe having the 3 week pre-op may make it easier. The only hard thing I have had to deal with so far was some medications. 4 pills are pretty large and can only be split once and not crushed. So that gives me 8 pieces to swallow with some rough edges. I plan to talk with my PCP to see if there are any alternatives for Slo-Niacin.

I had to do a 4 week pre op diet. I am 3 weeks post op and since I hit the two week mark I've been hungry. My surgeon won't put fluid in anyone's band until they are 4weeks post op. from what I gather having no fluid in your band is essentially like having no band at all. Needless to say I can't wait to get a fill!

I don't know about most people ,but I was hungry out of the gate. Only thing was I could barley get anything down. When I started having mushies it was all she wrote I had to get things back under control again which took awhile for me. But I'm back on track now. Never had a problem with my pills though even the pain meds which are long I cut them in half just in case. Good luck
