i try to do 70-80 grams of protein per day...

in the a.m., i drink a shake as i love the taste and the rest of the day, get my protein from lean meats/beans etc..and somes a protein bar in the mid afternoon if i am hungry.

yes but after workout?

No- not so much after walking. Post work out protein is to aid in muscle maintenance, growth and recovery. A small shake before and after can assist your body with using less of your stores protein (muscle) and catabolism, but for light exerue your best to minimize calories. Be sure you are getting over 70g per day though. 90-100 is even better through a reduction in simple carbs.

Just a FYI it does not necessarily need to be whey protein. Fitpro is actually the best protein that's out right now as your body absorbs all of the nutrients. Whey, Casein etc you tend to pee out a lot of nutrients
