Broth for preop diet

Today I started my preop diet of liquids only. My drs list says I can have broth. Can I strain canned soup and just have the broth? Or does it have to be the plain cans of broth?

    I tend to agree with Michpell39. When I hear "broth", it sounds like clear liquids. But to be sure, you should call you doctor's office and ask.

    clears only :( chicken or beef broth it sucks but so so worth it

    when i was on pre op.......my hub would drain a can of chicken soup (i liked cambells best) and mix it with my chicken broth.....it was way more tasty and doable....just an idea/suggestion
