Paleo Anyone??

In looking for good high protein, low carb, low sugar meal choices I'm repeatedly directed to Paleo recipes...I have to say that after looking at several I'm thinking this is the way for me to go...is anyone else on board?

Do you mind if I ask what it is? A type of diet? Have not heard of it. I guess I could look it up uh. :) I won't be eating for almost another 4 weeks anyway.:(

Paleo is a lifestyle of eating like our ancestors did millions of years ago (or so they say!). No preservatives, lots of Protein, low carb. No bread, rice, Pasta - just things that used to move or grow. I think it's low in dairy also. My stepson is into paleo.

I can't go without carbs! I tired Atkins a few months ago - lasted 4 weeks before I caved. At least with paleo you can eat lotso fruit (can't with Atkins).

Good luck with it!

I looked it up, sorry I can be a little slow sometimes. Sounds like a good food plan and it makes sense too.

Just today heard about it for the first time. A phlebotomist was telling me how great she feels after eating this way for a month. Don't know if I have the will power but sounds very healthy.

would it really be that hard? I mean I was kind of under the impression that we were allowed very limited carbs now that we are banded anyways...I know that my mother in law was banded over 3 years ago and hasn't had bread since...she said she can't b/c it gets stuck....

I don't know, maybe I'll be a modifyied Paleo dieter!! LOL I just notice the high protein and that seems to be what is what we should be after.I'm still on mush now, but am definitely looking forward to 'real' food.

Also, just curious, I'm at day 10, I was losing pretty good ever since the liver diet, now I stopped and I'm hungry!! Will I stay at about this weight until my first fill?

I know I can't, and don't want to give up dairy. So maybe I'll follow your lead and be modified too!
