how do you feel? Mine is coming ups on 05/21 and i am soooooo nervous!!!

any pain?

Honey, I feel for you! Now is the time to really utilize the sugar free Popsicles and sugar free jello. I brushed my teeth a lot. I found that I didn't want to eat right after I brushed my teeth so I did it all of the time. Keep your mouth busy with liquid sugar free treats. It was in my first post op days that I developed an appreciation for Crystal light. I also would crush Popsicles and eat them with a spoon, just to get the texture of food. You will make it through, I promise you. (((Hug)))

You may think you're ready to eat but your stomach needs time to heal. It's been manipulated, stitched, and overall abused. The post op diet is for the single purpose of allowing it to heal.

It sucks but it's crucial you stick to your doctor's post op diet so you don't cause complications.

I chewed alot of sugar free gum. Be sure not so swallow it though.
