  1. I have so many clothes to give away. The sizes are all mixed together so if you take one you take all. I'm way too lazy to organize and sort. Cost is a Starbucks Caramel Frappe Light and a half hour or so of conversation. Thousands of dollars in clothes. Tons of jeans, tops, dresses and bras sizes 44d and 42 DD. let me know if interested.
  2. How about next Saturday around 11am or 12am. That will give me time to sort some of the larger sizes out.
  3. I live in the northeast valley. I'm in between Scottsdale and Mesa, so finding a location can be easy. What is a good day for you to meet?

    Any Arizona bansters?

I'm a client of True Results Scottsdale also. I live in Fountain Hills. My surgery was November 2012. I am very pleased with TR. I would love to be part of a coffee group/support group.

    Sucessful "unfill"

Suddenly, my band tightened. Self diagnosed, I went to a clear liquid diet. It did not help, it became more uncomfortable and I could not get water down. I was also having regurgitation in my sleep. It was very unpleasant. I had an emergency appointment to relieve the pressure in my band. Immediately I felt relief. It took a few weeks for the reflux to subside. However, it did. My appetite never increased, nor did I regain any weight. I see many members suffering from "tightness", yet sacred to have any fluid removed in fear they will regain. I just want to confirm that a decrease in fluid from the band doesn't mean weight gain will occur. I remained in the "green zone". Please do not refrain from getting an "unfill" because of fear. The relief is priceless.

    Nothing fits

Donna, I wish you lived closer. I have so many clothes size 22 to 16. I would love to give them too you. It would cost so much to mail them. I'm so happy for you! You looked so fantastic in the last picture you posted.

    LapBand acronyms (WLS/PB/NVS)

    SF=sugar free FF=Fat Free NUT=. nutritionist MFP=MyFitnessPal TOM=Time of Month PS=Protein shake
  8. My doctor also told me "no liquid calories", and that included protein drinks. I, however, have two protein drinks a day. I have one at 8am and one at 2pm. I do not have an appetite until 4pm. I receive 60g of protein, and 320 calories a day from the protein drinks that I wouldn't receive otherwise. My doctor understands my situation and supports this option for me. I wish you the best of luck!

    Gurgle Gurgle

OMGoodness, since my last fill on Thursday, I gurgle all the time. Seriously all of the time. I've even had two people comment about it. Sheesh! Please tell me this goes away.

    pre op diet headaches

Caffeine and Tylenol may help. ONLY if you are allowed caffeine. Best wishes! It gets much better!
  11. I'm a psychologist, PhD. I own my agency, specializing in children with special needs. I found myself going back to emails and paperwork the following morning of my surgery. I can totally relate to the post regarding being appreciated with gifts of food. Cookies, cakes, donuts, bagels...client families are always trying to feed me and my staff. I appreciate it, but some treats are tough to walk away from. Chocolate is the most difficult.

    I'm going to sue!

I'm going to sue Netflix! They suggested that I should watch Cake Boss, I'm four episodes into it and now I'm all nutty-crazy craving cupcakes. Ugh!
  14. I paid 10k and have one year of follow up care included. Almost eight months and very happy. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

    Bandster hell

I concur with B52. It does get better, much better. I was convinced that the Lapband was a huge waste of time and money. It took well over four months for my band to function. Now, it's almost magical. I have no real hunger, I am satisfied with very little. I'm down over 60 pounds. I couldn't be more pleased. The band does work and will work for you too. Just give it time and be faithful in your follow up appointments. It will happen for you too. Just don't give up on yourself or the band.

    Increasing sodium

I've been having issue fainting when I stand up. It started after surgery. I've taken some knots to my noggin, which has been troublesome. After numerous tests the doctor determined it was low blood volume and that I need to increase my sodium intake. I am very happy that I only require about 900 to 1000 calories a day. I don't think I could physically add anymore food volume to my diet. I'm really happy with the healthy food choices I am making and I don't want to add processed food to my diet. Using extra table salt ruins the taste of my food. Has anyone else needed to increase their sodium intake? What are some ideas for increasing sodium in my diet without making unhealthy over processed food choices?

    The "Girls"

Howdy ya'll! I am having a difficult time finding a sports bra that doesn't show when I'm chilly. Ugh! Has anyone been successful finding one?
  19. I'm half way to goal. Seven months post op as of tomorrow. I love my Lapband!
  20. My husband has been having more fun on me since my lapband, than he has been having on the patio. Just saying...
