Confused & Frustrated

Ok I was banded on March 29th and the nurses sent home papers telling me not to drink anything cold or hot as it will cause my stomachs to contract which is understandable. Then I was told two to three weeks liquid then move onto the puréed. I called to verify because my new bible The Lap-Band solution which the told me to go by says 7 days liquid then puréed they said to go by the book. I'm so frustrated I want to do what is best for me but they're not helping. I think I just need to vent and some feed back would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you in advance for putting up with my craziness Lol

For now, ignore what the Lap Band Solution says. Every doctor has their own post op diet rules and all that matters is what your doctor says. So, if your doctor says 2-3 weeks on liquids, then do exactly as he instructed regardless of what anyone or any book says.

The Lap Band Solution is a good guideline, however it is always best to follow your doctor's orders. My doctors office gave me a copy of the Lap Band Solution before I was banded, asked me to read it but said that if the book instructed something different that what they ordered to please follow their orders.

Good luck to you.
