My port flipped...AGAIN!

I just left my appointment where I expected to get a fill only to be told that my port has flipped! I had my surgery in October and had to have a revision in December after my port flipped. Now I'm told that it flipped again! I was told that I haven't done anything to cause this. Apparently this "rarely happens". I'm so frustrated and upset! Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm Si sorry. I'm only 10 days post op but today I called my doc because my port feels like its trying to come out from inside me. A revision, you mean a new surgery? That sounds frustrating to say the least. I hope they finally fix it for you. How is everything else going for you. food intake etc?

I too, had my surgery in Oct, port flipped and had revision surgery Jan 23. My Dr also told me it was very rare and I was his 2 patient in all his years have this happen.

I think it is really sewn down good now and hoping for no more surgery.

So sorry this has happened to you.

Good Luck!

Everything else is fine. I've had no other problems. I just notice that the port seems to protruding from my abdomen. No pain or discomfort.
