When I press on my incision it just hurts like a normal cut would hurt but there's this weird pain that I get just 4 inches below the incision. The feeling is like a burning sensarion and if i bend over or do sudden moves it hurt really bad. It helps if i hold my gut up against me. Is that how you guys feel?

My actual port is just below my big incision to the left and yes I had pain for some time after my surgery and still a month later when I stretch I still get a "twinge" Sometimes I feel a lil uncomfortable when laying on my side but that has gotten better. I am saying I think what you are feeling is normal and will get better.

I'm so happy to find this post. I was having the exact same thing and I was so worried. I'm glad to know others have it too, so maybe that means it's normal.

I'm eight days post op an the last couple of days been having this burning sensation also around by incisions also. I have an ice pack on it right now.

Thank you all for sharing ur experiences on the port incision. I was getting worried thinking that something came loose and i was getting ready to call my doctor. Like i said i dont really have pain is only the burning feeling and like i pulled a nerve or something like that. I was banded 2 weeks ago. Thanks again!!
