I need some advice...

I was banded on 2/28 and I lost 20 lbs in the first 2 weeks. For the past week I have not lost another lb. Did anyone else have this problem? I know that the first 6 weeks are for healing, but I would have thought that I wouldn't have plateaued this soon. I haven't had a fill yet, that is coming up this Wednesday. I am just getting a little worried that I am going to be one of the ones the band doesn't work for. I log everything on MFP and am eating around 600-1000 calories a day, mostly around 700. I am making good food choices also. Anyone got any advice on how you got over the hump? Is it just that I need a fill? I am getting discouraged. Maybe I need to eat more protein. How much protein is everyone getting daily? Any advice would be great.

Hi kileybug, my band was March 1st and I had lost 13lbs and when I went to the doctor on Thursday I only had an 8lb lose. I was very upset but the nurse said it was absolutely normal for our bodies to do that and she was proud of me. This is the healing phase and I have to continually remind myself of that. 1lb is four sticks of butter!!!! Your loss is awesome, like 80 sticks of butter! ???œGreat job!!!

I am proud to report that the scales are moving down again after my first fill. I have lost 4 lbs in 4 days. Feels great to have went down a size in clothes too. My hubby and I just booked our 10 yr anniversary cruise and I have got to be bikini ready..lol
