Slimtime

Any suggestions as to which flavour is better, chocolate or vanilla slim time shakes? I'm putting my order in and don't know which to buy and what proportion if I buy a mix!

Swlc in Ontario. Dr coburn is doing the surgery. I still can't wrap my head round it all. I had galbladdr removed ten years ago. I don't think it was too bad

  • i only have today and tomorrow and then Wed. is surgery! I added Crystal Lite to the shakes to change up the flavours. I don't mind the taste of them at all, it's just the aftermath LOL.

Vanilla. I ordered vanilla and chocolate. At least with vanilla you can add flavoring to change it. Hope I'm not too late. And best of luck! When are you being banded and where?

It's ok. I have to be honest and tell you that I was having dry heaves on the 2nd or 3rd day. But what I did was add more water and add lots of ice. I had to have it good and cold...and funny enough I grew to like it.

March 13, I can tell you not to worry, etc etc, but you will and it will probably feel so surreal when you're getting ready to go in for surgery. I couldn't believe I was doing this, such a drastic change when for years and years I was content to do nothing. My surgery was nov 28 2012 and it was the best thing I've ever done for me, just for me. I have another surgery coming up in a couple of weeks...gallbladder. My lapband dr is doing that surgery as well so I feel like i'm in good hands. I want to wish you the best of luck. Where are you having it done?

Right, right..I remember a conversation earlier about is. Well, have no fear. He's a great dr with a great staff. Day 2 and day 3 were my most uncomfortable but only because of restrictions the larger incision had on me. It was also right where the waistline on my pants sit. Operation was on wednesday, back at work on Monday. I had shoulder pain, heating pad worked. And also used GasX strips. I took the pain meds for a couple of days, helped in getting a good nights sleep. I just came back from Jamaica and left all my capris and bathing suits there. I've lost a total of 25lbs total and they no longer fit well. I know some people are losing like crazy at first, but I'm going to let my body lose as its meant to lose. No pressure. I'm sick of pressure relating to weight loss. Good luck, i'll be thinking of you on your surgery date, I wish you only the best...I know you'll do well.

Congratulation on your weight loss so far! You're doing amazingly! I'm not worried just uncertain as to how everything will be after the surgery. I appreciate your honesty and explanation of what is common experiences. It brings me comfort in knowing what to expect.

I love the chocolate and it doesn't love me. It has wheat and I'm intolerant to it. If anyone wants it they can have it. You just need to pick it up from me.

I was thinking of ordering a mix of flavours. Does it taste ok? My surgery date is march 13. Coming up soon!

If you want six boxes if chocolate I will give it to you if you would pick it up

I'm in Burlington

I am guessing you have had your surgery today. Congratulations and welcome to the bench!

Hope you are doing well Contessa. 03/13/13. Sounds like a lucky day to me. The first few days are a little trying, but so worth it in the end. Keep us updated on how you're doing. Best wishes.

Well here I am, three days post op and honestly am doing pretty well. I still am very tired but my tummy hasn't grumbled at me as mush as it did yesterday. So far, I'm 16lbs down, but have many more to go. I have had a small Greek yogurt today and a shake. Will try some soup tonight. It hasn't been a struggle to eat, that said, liquids do go straight through the band. Thanks for all your support. The journey has begun!
