Pre-surgery: What great things does the future hold?

I am scheduled for surgery on February 5, 2013. My family has a beach vacation planned in August and I wonder what size I will be and will I be comfortable in a bathing suit for the first time in a decade?

Does anyone else have plans or hope (or dreams, etc) in the next 6-12 months that would be significantly affected by banding (and you know, weight loss)?

Yes, I splurged and bought a Marc Jacobs dress in a 14, currently a 22/24. I'm being banded in February as well. I want to wear it for my 14 wedding anniversary in July.

  • I just want to be able to sit in a car without feeling BIG, sitting in an airplane without having to pull the buckle to the max! Oooooh, and ya just feeeeeling awesome about ME and what I'm wearing!

If you are anticipating a plateau, you will get one! Think you will never hit a array or have any sort of complication!

Just so happens having port revision surgery Wednesday.

Expecting plateau b/c been dieting for 10mths now and even the best (Missy, Pattygirl, Lovethenewme) have all had to face some.lol

Best of luck on your journey!

I moved to FL in June and went to Disney. I was disappointed that I also had to rent a scooter! My goal is to go before Christmas with at lease 100 pounds less!

LOL, I live in FL too, maybe when you, pattygirl and I reach goal, we can meet at Disney and walk that whole park all day.

Yup, I want to be able to finish this ride. I tried to train for it last year, but I just couldn't push my bulk fast enough, forlong enough to do it. My only concern is that I won't be able to lose the weight and train at the same time. So, if not this year, then next.
