When will i feel better ?

3 days post op, on liquids and not hungry at all. My stomach churns a lot but I think it's cos of the gas. I cant burp very well so it feels like there is a lot if gas to cone up.

I have a sharp pain on the left shoulder and also my left side ribs and it hurts when I breathe. Did anyone else feel like this??

What's the best thing to do??

I'm meant to be going back to work in 3 days.

Heating pad on belly and shoulder, gas-x, tums, and walk, walk, walk!

Gas x strips did not work for me. The gas x chewable worked very well along with Tums!

Got some de gas pills and they are doing ok. I think chewable would work better for me as chewy reflux squares work better than the pills for me.

Will try and find some.

I did and my shoulder pain lasted for two weeks. I tried everything. Just hang in there and remember, it is temporary.

So bloated my work pants don't fit even though I've lost 5kg.

Day 6 post op still very bloated and gassy but back at work.

I have been walking heaps, (Average of 2-3km walking per day) and taking de-gas.

That was the worst part of the whole surgery was the "gas" that would not leave. It was painful to even have my seatbelt on when my husband took me for my first week check up. It is all downhill from there. It will eventually come out and after 4 years it is still coming out of that end. Just think how great you will feel when it is 4 months from now and you can fit into smaller clothes. Be patient.
