Hi there! I TOTALLY understand where you are coming from!! I was like that too. Everyone was seeing my loss, but I wasn't. My clothes were fitting differently, but every time I looked in the mirror, I saw the same old me.

I truly believe that it takes a while for the brain to catch up with the body. I was banded in August 2012 and now down 67 pounds (and counting) and I'm just starting to realize and finally see my weight loss myself. We can be the hardest on ourselves.

Keep up the good work, and when you see it yourself, treat yourself to a little retail therapy, like a new outfit or article of clothing! That's what I did!! You will be amazed, and it will be motivation to keep going!! Good Luck and much success to you on this journey!!

we lose from the top down so clothes arent always a good indicator. Also when we are fat we fit into our clothes but that doesnt mean our clothes fit... fabrics stretch!

Not sure how much you have lost but you maybe surprised when you get on the scale...do you not have one?

Give it time. It will come.

I can see the weight loss and my husband has noticed too and that man is oblivious to EVERYTHING!!! :-) Only 1 or 2 others have noticed. I went to a basketball game yesterday cause my daughter cheers and I saw several people I know but haven't seen in a while and no one said anything. I am still wearing the same clothes but they're all baggy and I wear belts now. I have lost 43 pounds.

Sometimes people don't say anything cos they feel it may be inappropriate. Pre lapband I had dieted and lost 50+ lbs and one of the girls I shared a work space with who I grew close with never said "congrats" or "you look great" and it bothered me cos so many other people had. Eventually I asked her about it and she said she didn't want me to think there was anything wrong with me before I had lost weight so she didn't wanna say I looked great for losing a lot of weight. That always reminds to remember sometimes people don't know what to say or don't think they should say anything.

:)
