Hiccup

Someone told me hiccups may be band related, but what is the deal?

I get them daily. I was only banded on the 17th so still on post op diet.

Thanks for any 411.

Hiccups are often band related. They are a soft stop, in other word your band is saying that's enough. Or if you are eating too fast your band is saying hey slow down. If they come 20 - 30 mins after you have eaten then you probably ate too fast and your pouch is full, again band saying hey don't do that, lol.

At least that's what my band says.

Me too...if I start hicupping...it's time. To stop eating. And I do. :)

Thanks, for that tip. I was banded on 12/20 and I have been trying to figure what up with these hiccups. I have only gotten them a few times. Now I will be more mindful if it happens again. Thnx

I get them if I don't chew well enough. They are a (very effective) reminder that talking and eating is multitasking and I had better remember what I am doing :)
