Pain!!

Hi again! I'm 6 days post op... Feeling this awful "pulling" type pain on the upper left where in sure the port is stitched in. I'm thinking its normal but it's still a little scary. I need my pain meds to make it tolerable and I have a high tolerance to pain. Anyone else have this? If so how long did it last? Thanks!!

I had pain in the upper left shoulder... and a bit in the port area.... lasted 3 days... can last up to a week.

I found a heating pad really helped.

Thank you Tomander! The left shoulder pain is gone, thank goodness. I'm thinking that Im feeling the "healing" pains. :) thanks for the response! Merry Christmas to you!

My port site was sore a few days and then for the next couple of weeks if I bent too far one way or another, it was a little sore, but not really painful or anything.

Im a month out and my port area is still sore.... i bent over too much too soon. My dr told me today that thats normal.

In general, you may not realize it... but its so easy to over do it. Take a day or 2 and just chill... dont get out of bed, have a movie day. Uninterupted rest goes a long way!

Im glad i read this was my topic earlier
