Motivating Factor

Hey everyone,

I was banded Nov. 28 and was extremely motivated the first two weeks... But now I feel as if I've lost my momentum. Do any of you know any good support groups or excercise classes in Brooklyn? I'm hoping that will help motivate me again...

Sorry you're feeling this way! I can't help you b/c not from Brooklyn, but maybe can phone your LB surgeons office and ask them. My Dr has a support group that meets once a month. But I enjoy the support here much more. This is a 24/7 group.

Good luck in finding your mojo! Happy Holidays!

Just thought of another thing that might help. Go to Success Stories & read others accounts and go look at before & after pictures too.

Look under the groups on this site. A lot of times people list their locations. Best wishes, I have never attended a support group, but have family and friends that are very supportive of me. And, as Maddygram said, I come here for uplifting support(just like a support bra, heheh). Merry Christmas, happy holidays. Karen

You might need a fill are you getting hungry be 4 hours? the not being hungry keeps me motivated and that was what I did and it made a big difference. looking into a gym near you is a great idea.

If you can join a exercise class at the gym that might help you also be motivated to show up for classes. There are days that I don't feel like going to class but I know that it will be the noticed if I'm not there .
