4 Days Post Op

Okay. I am 4 days post op and having trouble with my liquid and protein. I know I'm not drinking enough. It feels so strange, like its stuck in there and won't move. I'm scared of getting sick and dying from no nutrients. Please help!

Just keep sipping all day........not sure what kind of post op eating plan you are on, but you are healing, do what you can. I had a hard time with the protein as I couldn't tolerate any of the powders or supliment drinks. My clinic was more concerned with me staying hydrated the first week or 2 than getting my protein in. They did suggest that I go back to my pre op optifast shakes and that helped alot. You won't die........just stay hydrated for now.

Just follow what the Doctor & Bariatric Nurses told you. If you are having issues or need to know if you're drinking enough you should be calling their office. Every person is different & your Doctor knows you best. Good luck & congrats. Banded 12/22/10
