If you have a LBT on your cell it is as good as email. Most don't like to give out email addresses as they can be spammed from the forum.

Hey guys i just got banded on friday as well...how are you guys feeling? Emotionally and physically? I am mentally overwhelmed i believe i am over thinking things way to much. Worried about vitamin intake knowing i am getting what i need to worried about the fact i wonder what that new chix sandwich at wendeys i see on TV taste like even though I DONT WANT IT..i just thought i wouldn't even think about it that much after the band.. i did have 1 oz purred peaches with 3 oz of dannon fit and lite greek yogurt for lunch and 1 oz pureed peaches with pureed cottage chez for dinner and of course lots of h2o and my protein shakes.... physically i am feeling pretty good a bit sore around belly button and other incisions i have been real fortunate not to throw up and have been able to keep everything down although i can feel gas in the chest area and wish it would just go away already lol. Hope u guys all feel well..will check back later internet is not working that great at this time ;( hope it will be fully fixed soon:) good luck to all....

Hey people. I was banded 4yrs ago. I have had a lot of issues with my band. I've learned a lot a long the way. Support is very important. Honestly, I isolated myself. I did not have the best support system in medical team, and I allowed that to deter me from using the band the way it was intended.

For you newbies, you really shouldn't have the feeling of vomiting. Its too early. Your body is still healing and you aren't really able to explore foods. I'm here for any one that wants to talk.

I've recommitted myself to this process. I'm eating right. I'm exercising and listening to my body and band.

Congrats on the loss! Bread is really hard to swallow at the best of times as well as steak. Even when your on normal food the softer meat is the better cos you have to chew it till its mush before you swallow.

Ok' date='what about leafy vegetables like cabbage, greens etc.[/quote']

I never ate cabbage, it might be trial and error unless someone here has had cabage? Greens are fine with lettuce probley crispy is easier to eat. I used cos lettuce. Capsciun, cucumber brussel sprots Beans snow peas and sugar snap peas. Not sprouts i found them hard to try and chew to mush to swallow. Fruit is different for most people. Just remember you have to be able to chew to mush or spit it out. I hope this helps

Are there any other meats or vegies that you have questions about? What stage will you be at chrissy? i have already planned what im going to eat. Find out how many meals and the volume to help you also plan your meals. Using a steamer is great fir vegies and fish but chicken is easier to grill. Dont be afraid to add sauces to help keep things soft for the first couple of weeks then slowly reduce the amount.
