2 Days Post Op Question

Hi all,

I had surgery on Nov 8. Been doing well so far. Spend most of my time sleeping, but my husband makes sure I am getting up and walking. I'm following my post-op diet closely. I'm trying to determine the feelings i'm having. I cant decide if what I feel is gas moving or hunger. I do know I have gas moving in my chest and shoulders. I have no appetite yet and had to force myself to eat a yogurt earlier. How can I tell so i know how to take care of myself?

Hey. I got banded on 11-6 I had no appetite either. Most likely it's gas try to eat a little more. Water helps a lot. I also make tea lattes just heat up in microwave 12 oz or 8oz soy or skim milk and put a tea bag in it. Helps keep you feeling full especially if you have no appetite. I'm on my 4th day and still no real appetite to eat. You do need to eat so small bites will help u.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try the tea. That sounds great.

Keep sipping liquids, this stage will pass.
