What To Expect

Do you lose weight after surgery? And what to expect in the first month, I'm nervous. I don't know when I'm getting it done yet.

i lost 9 lbs pre op, 10lbs the first week after surgery and nothing for the last 4 weeks. Many people don't lose much post surgery as they are healing and your body metabolism has slowed down and is holding onto everything it can. Restriction can come at 4 weeks or 4 months, it is a marathon not a sprint.

Wildrose is right. What I can tell you is if you live the banded life you will see results.

It seems like my surgery was yesterday, yet here I am 9 months later & 68 pounds lighter.

Good luck on your journey.
