Best of luck to you Oxycomic! I see we have almost the same birthday too (I'm July 24 and you're July 25)! Let us hear from you after surgery!

All those feelings are normal! You'll come out of it like a Champ! Best of Luck! Keep us posted :)

Best of luck and good wishes to those who are being banded in the morning. Remember walking really does help, even when you don't think you're up to it. You'll wake up and be banded!! That's an awesome feeling :)

I've been banded for 17 days now' date=' and I still feel a bit of soreness around my big incision, which is where the port is located. Remember, that's where the doctor did most of the work, is through that incision, so it would be normal that it would be sore the most around that area. It does get better with time! I'm 20 lbs down, so it's all worth it.

Hang in there!

Hello to everyone else![/quote']

This is true for me too! It's about 4 inches below my right breast. I'm 9 days post op and still tender.

Well, my week is over and its back to work tomorrow. I feel so stressed and annoyed. (I have the most annoying supervisor) I am glad I have to work one day and off the next day.

Have a good return to work! You will do great! I'm sorry to hear you have an annoying supervisor....that's stinks for sure. Just focus on letting your inner light shine bright :)

On my way to check in...Wow. It reminds me of a quote: Alas, I always knew one day I would walk this road, but yesterday I did not know it would be today. I have been struggling with obesity all my life and contemplating the band for ten years. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. And by the way, I expect it to be a much longer life for all of us now that we have taken control!

Happy New Years Eve!!!! We did it December Bandsters! We have taken that first step toward healthier living. I am glad we all have each other in the 'post-operation' thread - it's kinda like moving your tassel to the opposite side at graduation. I am happy to have people who understand at my fingertips. I know I am not alone in this fight. Here's to a happier, healthier, more prosperous 2013! Have a great day everyone. It's the last one of 2012 so make it count.
