Pain When I Take A Deep Breath

I was banded on October 1st. Around the 9th day post op, I was feeling much better. meaning I had no more gas pain, I could sleep on my side and I was starting to feel hungry. I have been sticking to my post op diet and the amount of food I'm suppose to eat. yesterday I started feeling a sharp pain on my right side when I take a deep breath. has anyone else experienced this?

Hey there,

I was banded on the 1st too and at about day 8 I also started having sharp pain on my right side in the location of the port. Mine isn't from breathing deep though. Mine is strictly when I move to get up from a sitting or lying position. I had my first OP appt. yesterday and the surgeon couldn't really tell much cause there still a lot of swelling, but said he would know for sure if something isn't right when I go in for my first fill on Nov. 8th cause the swelling should be gone by then.

Have you tried feeling for the exact location of the pain to see where it's coming from?
