Made A Mistake

I had surgery on the 3rd well last night my boyfriends 1 1/2 year old was coloring on the floor and I didn't really pick her all the way up but I helped her up by her arms and I could tell it was much weight for me to be lifting, I don't have real bad pain but I hurt more than I did yesterday . Do you think I could have done something

Hi. I hope you are feeling better. FYI my mother dislocated my nephew's elbow doing something similar. The doctor popped it back in and called it mother's elbow but mom still feels guilty 30 years later.
