Gastric Plication : Reducing stomach volume by folding in the stomach wall Stitches are placed in the stomach to secure the folded stomach wall. i have this and highly recommend it!
September 29, 201213 yr Gastric plication is not covered by insurance, of any kind. However, we do plication on all our lap band patients, and have for a while. This may end up being the main way bands are done in the future. We have even gone back and plicated patients who have bands. But plication by itself is not covered by insurance.
September 29, 201213 yr thats true sin, my apologies my surgeon performed this plication at no cost on top of my band. i was referring to the band that they covered. but still love tricare, they have been great to me. sorry about that. thanks terry

September 30, 201213 yr I had plication it is not covered by any insurance company bc it's not approved in the us my surgeon did not charge for it. I have to get weighed often so they can keep track for a study. U should not b charged for plication.

October 1, 201213 yr I had plication and the band. The plication was done with no charge. I know a girl who had the plication only around the same as me and has lost about the same amount of weight.

October 2, 201213 yr Plication makes the other half of ur stomach smaller so with the band and a smaller stomach it is suppose to make u loose 20% more weight. I had them both done on August 23 I've lost 27 lbs. to me it was like a bonus. It doesn't add pain or longer recovery worth it to me so far
